I’d written a post a little while ago about my ideas for the various table settings and in the end, I did decide to go for vintage license plates as our table numbers. I purchased them all from eBay and spent around $9 on each one. There were some beautiful and incredibly old ones available. I think our oldest was a New Jersey plate from 1917! I had looked at getting international ones but these appear to be much more tightly regulated and aren’t just floating around on eBay so we stuck with ones from various US states. I even managed to find one that was from our birth year and Washington state!
I purchased some standard restaurant table number holders on Amazon that were really solid and did a great job at clasping and holding up the numbers. The pre-guest photos have them lying down on the tables as we were worried the wind might blow them over and break lots of glasses!
Also, check out the optimism that Paul would actually do a wedding task in my earlier post on this! Ah, the early days were great. We’ll do it all together and for no money at all.
